Sixty lessons, each small enough to finish

Beginning Greek in Small Steps takes you from the alphabet to the end of beginning Greek in sixty lessons. A typical grammar covers the same ground in far fewer chapters, so each chapter has to carry more. Smaller lessons give each new idea room to settle before the next one arrives.

Verbs come early, from lesson five, so you are reading sentences with something happening in them long before the noun system is finished. Each lesson is divided into numbered sections (§32.3 is lesson 32, section 3), and a glossary explains each grammatical term as it appears, so you are never left guessing what the text is talking about.

Dr. Darryl Burling wrote it and finished it in 2025. It forms Levels 1 to 5 of the eighteen-level Greek Success Path, the path Greek Tutor and the Greek Mastery Membership follow.

You don't have to wait for it

The full text is already inside Greek Tutor, lesson by lesson, with exercises after every lesson, a searchable glossary, and room to highlight and take notes. If you want to start learning Greek now, start there. The printed and EPUB editions are for people who also want the grammar on the shelf, or who study better with a book open beside them.
